The city centre is the most mixed patch we clean. Within a few hundred metres of Royal Parade there are owner-occupied apartments, offices on the upper floors of retail buildings, student flats, and short-term lets turning over every few days. They all need different things, and almost none of them have easy parking.

Practical access is half the job here. We work with intercoms, fobs, key safes and smart locks, and our cleaners are used to carrying equipment up to flats without lifts. For anything where loading matters, carpet cleaning in particular, we will agree the access route with you before the visit instead of discovering a problem on the doorstep.

Towards the Barbican and Royal William Yard the stock changes again: converted warehouses, listed buildings, exposed stone and timber, and a lot of holiday lets. These are lovely properties to clean and they need a careful hand, because the surfaces are rarely modern and never uniform.

Apartments, flats and the sea air

City centre flats share two recurring problems. The first is condensation: compact, well-sealed apartments with limited ventilation grow mould in bathroom sealant and around window reveals far faster than houses do. We can clean it off and treat the area, but we will also tell you plainly if the cause is ventilation rather than cleaning, because there is no point paying for the same clean every three months.

The second is salt. Anywhere with a view of the Sound gets a film of salt and city grime on the inside of the glass as well as the outside. Interior windows, frames and sills are included as standard in our deep and spring cleans for exactly that reason.

Offices and commercial premises in the centre

Offices above retail, professional practices, salons and small business units are a big part of our city centre work. Almost all of it is cleaned outside trading hours (early morning before the shops open, or evenings) which suits both us and you, since the centre is far easier to access at 6am than at 11am.
