How our pricing works
We use two models, and which one applies depends on the job, not on what is more convenient for us.
Hourly for ongoing cleaning, where the work is maintenance and the honest answer is "as much as fits in the time". Fixed price per job for everything with a defined end point: deep cleans, end of tenancy, ovens, carpets, upholstery and after-builders work. On fixed-price jobs the time it takes is our problem, not yours.
Every quote is confirmed in writing before we start. We do not quote low and discover extras on the day, and we do not charge for travel anywhere in our coverage area.

Regular domestic cleaning
Charged by the hour with a two-hour minimum visit. Products and equipment are included, and there is no contract or notice period.

Priced per item or per room, because that is what the work is. Booking two specialist jobs in the same visit is always cheaper than two separate appointments.

Office and commercial cleaning
Quoted per visit against a written specification after a free site survey. Floor area is a poor guide to how long premises take, so we walk the building instead of guessing.

What changes the price
Four things, in order of how much difference they make:
- Condition. By a long way the biggest factor. A three-bed that has been cleaned fortnightly for two years and a three-bed that has not been deep cleaned since the tenants moved in are different jobs at the same square footage.
- Whether the property is empty. Cleaning around furniture, boxes and belongings is slower and produces a worse result. Empty is cheaper and better.
- Bathrooms, not bedrooms. Bathrooms and kitchens are where the hours go. Two bathrooms adds more time than an extra bedroom does.
- Period features. Picture rails, cornices, deep skirtings, panelled doors and sash runners all have to be done by hand. Allow roughly twenty to thirty per cent more time than an equivalent modern house.
Payment, cancellation and the small print
Domestic customers pay after each visit by bank transfer or card; regular customers are often happier on a standing order. Commercial clients are invoiced monthly on 14-day terms. We do not take deposits for domestic work.
If you need to cancel or move a visit, 24 hours' notice means no charge. Less than that, and where we cannot fill the slot, we may charge for the cleaner's time, not as a penalty, but because they were coming to work and lost the hours. We will always talk to you before charging anything.

Domestic cleaners in Plymouth generally charge between the high teens and the mid twenties per hour in 2026. Agency and company rates sit at the higher end because insurance, vetting, training, equipment and cover for sickness and holidays are all included. A self-employed cleaner charging less is not insured by anyone but themselves.
Because you are buying an outcome, not hours. An inspection either passes or it does not, so the risk of the job taking longer than expected should sit with us. A one-bed flat in Plymouth typically starts around £140 to £180 and a three-bed house around £240 to £330.
No. Evening and Saturday slots are the same price as weekday ones. We would rather fit around your life than charge a premium for it.
Not with 24 hours' notice. With less, and only where we cannot fill the slot, we may charge for the cleaner's booked time, because they were coming to work and lost the hours. We always speak to you first instead of invoicing.
Weekly visits usually work out cheaper overall than fortnightly ones, not because of a discount but because there is less build-up to deal with each time, so each visit takes less. Booking two services in the same visit is also cheaper than two appointments.
