Who we are

APS Cleaning ("we", "us") is a cleaning company based at 6 Park Road, Plymouth, Devon PL3 5DR. We are the data controller for the personal information described on this page. You can contact us at mark@apscleaningplymouth.com or on 07496 399103.

What we collect

Enquiry details: your name, phone number, email address, postcode and the information you give us about the property and service you need.
Customer records: address, access arrangements, cleaning plan, visit history and payment records for the duration of our working relationship.
Correspondence: emails, texts and notes of phone calls relating to your enquiry or booking.

We do not collect special category data, we do not knowingly collect information about children, and we do not buy or sell personal data.

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote: our legitimate interest in answering a request you made to us.
To deliver the cleaning service you booked: performance of our contract with you.
To take payment and keep accounting records: performance of contract and our legal obligations.
To deal with complaints, insurance claims or disputes: our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to, and if we ever do, every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.

The quote form on this website

The quote form on this site opens a message in your own email program with the details you entered. Nothing is stored on this website and no data is transmitted to a third party by the form itself. Once you send that email, we hold the information as described above.

Keys and property access

Where you provide a key, key safe code or access code, we record it against your customer account in a way that does not identify your address on the physical key. Access details are shared only with the cleaner assigned to your property and their supervisor, and are destroyed when your service ends or on request.

Only where necessary: our cleaners and supervisors working on your property, our accountant and payment provider, our insurer if a claim arises, and any authority we are legally required to disclose to. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted within 12 months. Customer records are kept for the duration of the service and then for six years after the final invoice, in line with UK accounting and limitation requirements. Access codes and key records are destroyed when the service ends.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to ask us to delete data we no longer need, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to restrict processing while a concern is resolved. Email mark@apscleaningplymouth.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies and uses no analytics by default. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. If analytics or advertising tools are added in future, this page will be updated and a cookie banner added.
